What are some great tips you can share about drawing? Draw every day. I don't care if you’re too busy, you're not. You're reading this, aren't you? How can you possibly be busy. Go draw. 2. When did you first start to draw manga? Uh... Good question. 3. Name the greatest influence on your manga. Uhm... Besides myself, I assume? ...I uh... I don't know. My style is just a mishmash that happened after emulating other styles. I like that everyone has an original style. It's fun to see what it is... Which is probably why I'm not a fan of copied styles, if that makes any sense. 4. Has DREAM been helpful to you in any way? I'm sure it will be. 5. What was the first manga you ever bought for yourself? Trigun Volume 1. Made absolutely no sense, I had to re-read it more than once to figure out what was going on, but I love it 6. Name the pens you use for drawing manga and how you use them. If you ink digitally, name the sizes and types of brushes you use and how you use them. I ink digitally most of the time, so... With pen sensitivity, a 4 pixel brush for normal outlines, 5 and 9 pixels for thicker lines and 3 pixels for tiny lines. Spacing off, I hate spacing, it makes lines wonky. 7. How long does it take you to do one page from planning to toning and lettering? About 2 – 2 ½ hours. However, since I'm always distracted while I work, it takes me half a day. 8. What is the average length of your mangas? I haven't actually done enough to tell you that. I have two one shots completed... And despite looking appalling, they're thirty odd pages long. The manga I'm currently drawing, WWDN, is a series, with each chapter being 15 pages long. 9. After this manga, what type of manga would you like to draw next? Maybe some oneshots based off it? I love my current manga... But that's not to say I don't have a few ideas for other manga up my sleeve, you'll just have to wait and see. 10. What inspired you to draw manga? It's pretty, like me. 11. When did you first start to draw manga? Oh hoho, trying to catch me out there? You must really want to know the answer to this question if you have to ask it twice. Well I'm not giving in. I'm not falling for your ruse. How does that make you feel~? 12. Who do you say gave you the most support while drawing manga? Myself, definitely. Most probably because I never showed anyone my drawings or manga until recently, really. Haha. 13. Do you want to draw manga as a living? I don't think it’s possible where I live... But if I was given the option, sure. Not yet though! I don't feel I'm good enough. 14. Do you prefer traditional or computerized when it comes to coloring? Ack.. For anime and manga style, computerized. 15. Have you ever tried to promote your manga in any way? Name some please. No further than posting about it on my DA profile. I'd love to try and promote it though, maybe when we get more chapters done. 16. Was there ever a period of time where you completely stopped drawing manga for any reason? No. Drawing every day is a habit, I'd be saddened and edgy if I didn't do it every day. 17. Do you usually know the ending of your manga before you begin? Do you enjoy knowing/not knowing the ending? Until the story and script was going somewhere, I didn't even attempt to draw this manga. Myself and my Co-Author, who does most of the script writing for WWDN, still aren't entirely sure what happens in the very end, but we're almost decided on it.
And personally, I like to know the ending. It's easier to draw with a destination, and I damn well love spoilers... Shame my Co-Author keeps them from me.
